2018 BORDEAUX WINE FESTIVAL 14-18 JUNE

The Bordeaux Wine Festival is for those who love wine and food and like celebrating them both in a wonderful atmosphere. It is a four-day-long event focuses on the wines from the Bordeaux and Aquitaine Regions. It is the perfect occasion to experience the world of wine culture in its varied manifestations and to also discover the architectural beauty of Bordeaux (listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO), its cultural assets and the surrounding vineyards.

Bordeaux is an international reference Wine Capital with a long tradition of wine growing and producing (Bordeaux wine has been produced in the region since the 8th century). To celebrate the regional wines every two years the city celebrates a wine festival that attracts thousands of visitors who are passionate about wine and food, and at yearly each edition the festival is increasing its international impact.

The heart of the festival is the famous “wine road”, where visitors are introduced to the rich diversity of regional wines along a walk stretching over 2 km along the banks of the Garonne, where they will discover 80 appellations from the Bordeaux and Aquitaine Region as well as the leading Bordeaux brands.

Meanwhile the CIVB Wine School offers a unique chance to people who are curious to learn about the world of wine, and participate in tasting workshops and master classes. In the Literary Cuvée visitors will find an "open-air reading room" presenting 66 books all with a wine theme (comics, dictionaries, essays, guides, novels, etc.).

In addition to the food and wine experience, the festival is enriched with an outstanding programme that varies every evening and takes place at Place des Quinconces. The programme includes music concerts with international stars, a sound and music light show and fireworks.
